My love of music and broadcasting began at the age of 13, when I found myself behind the decks DJing school discos. Even at that young age, I realised there was something incredibly special about the way music could change the atmosphere in a room, lift people’s spirits and bring complete strangers together. That passion continued to grow throughout my teenage years and into adulthood, leading me to establish a successful mobile roadshow DJ business that became well known around my hometown of Corby.

For many years I entertained at weddings, parties, charity events and community celebrations, creating unforgettable moments through music and building lasting connections with people from all walks of life. Alongside DJing, I discovered another passion – broadcasting. I volunteered with both community and hospital radio, where I learned that radio is about far more than simply playing songs. It’s about companionship, storytelling, laughter, comfort and being a familiar voice that people can rely on. Whether speaking to one listener or thousands, I have always believed radio has the power to make someone feel less alone and a little more connected.

Music remains one of the greatest joys in my life. My playlists are as varied as my interests, with a particular love for the iconic sounds of the 1980s and 1990s, alongside reggae, classic rock, soulful ballads and uplifting contemporary music. I’ve never believed in limiting music to genres if a song speaks to the heart or stirs the soul, then it deserves to be heard. In 2004, my journey took a profoundly different direction. I found myself asking deeper questions about life, purpose and the unseen forces that seem to guide us. That curiosity opened the door to a lifelong spiritual journey, exploring mindfulness, energy, intuition, synchronicity and the incredible ways in which the universe appears to communicate with us when we are willing to listen.

Over the years, that path has brought moments of challenge, growth, healing and discovery. It has taught me that life often unfolds exactly as it is meant to, even when we don’t understand the reasons at the time. More than anything, it has strengthened my belief that kindness, compassion and human connection are among the greatest gifts we can offer one another. One of the most significant moments on that journey came in 2022 when, quite unexpectedly, I met Katie Carey and soon felt like something much deeper. From our very first conversations there was an immediate sense of familiarity, as though our paths had crossed for a reason. We discovered we shared many of the same values, beliefs and aspirations to inspire others, encourage personal growth and create spaces where people could feel supported, understood and uplifted.

As our relationship grew, so did the feeling that the universe had quietly been guiding our paths towards one another. Together we recognised that by combining our individual experiences, creativity and shared vision, we could create something truly meaningful. That vision became Evolution Sound Radio. Evolution Sound Radio is much more than an online radio station. It is a place where music, mindfulness, spirituality and genuine human connection come together.

Every programme is chosen with purpose, every presenter brings their own unique energy, and every conversation is intended to inspire, comfort or simply brighten someone’s day.
